1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide directly
We collect information you choose to provide directly to us, including:
Contact form data: name, email address, subject, and message when you contact us.
Account information: if we offer registrations (username, password, profile data).
User content: comments, reviews, ratings, replies, and other content you post on the Site.
Payment or transaction information if you use any paid feature (e.g., billing name, billing address, transaction IDs — handled via third-party payment processors).
1.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site we may automatically collect:
Device & usage data: browser type, operating system, IP address, pages visited, referral URL, timestamps, screen resolution, and similar technical data.
Analytics data: information collected via analytics services (e.g., page views, time on page) to help improve the Site.
Performance and error data: logs, crash reports, and diagnostic data used to maintain and improve the Site.
1.3 Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies, local storage, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies to operate and improve the Site. Types of cookies and uses include:
Essential cookies: required for core site functions (sessions, login, security, anti-fraud).
Performance & analytics cookies: to measure site use and improve performance (e.g., Google Analytics, Matomo, or equivalent analytics tools).
Preference cookies: to remember display preferences, language, and user choices.
Third-party cookies: used by embedded content or third-party features (video hosts, maps, social widgets).
You can control cookies via your browser or device settings and, where available, via our cookie banner or preference center. Disabling cookies may affect Site functionality.
1.4 Information from Business Card Submissions
If you upload a business card or submit business information through our Site (e.g., to create a directory/listing), we collect and store the data you provide, which may include:
Business name, business owner name (if provided), contact details, business address, and website URL.
Business description, service categories, opening hours, and other descriptive details you choose to include.
Images or digital copies of business cards, logos, or photographs uploaded with the listing.
Optional information such as social media links, promotional text, or service lists.
How we use business card / listing data:
Display and maintain a public or semi-public list of businesses online as part of our directory or listing feature.
Enable search, filtering, and discovery features so users can find relevant businesses and services.
Moderate, format, and, where necessary, edit listing content for clarity, safety, or policy compliance.
We do not use business listing data for unrelated marketing unless the business owner explicitly consents to marketing communications.
Visibility and consent: business listings you choose to make public may be viewable by anyone visiting the Site. If you submit a listing that contains personal contact details for an individual, ensure you have that person's permission to publish those details.
We do not sell uploaded business data to third parties. We may share business listing information with our service providers who help operate the directory (hosting, search indexing, backups) and only as necessary to provide the listing service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information for purposes including:
Providing, operating, and maintaining the Site and its features (including business listings, comments, and account management).
Responding to inquiries submitted via contact forms and providing customer support and dispute resolution.
Analyzing usage and performance to improve content, design, features, and Site stability.
Communicating important updates, policy changes, service notices, or promotional messages (you may opt-out of promotional emails as described below).
Protecting the security and integrity of the Site, preventing abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
Complying with legal obligations and responding to lawful requests from public authorities.
Creating aggregated or anonymized datasets for analytics, research, or service improvement (these do not identify you).
3. Cookies & Tracking Technologies (Details & Controls)
We use tracking technologies for analytics, functionality, and personalization. Examples and control methods include:
Analytics providers: Google Analytics, Matomo, or equivalents (may be configured to anonymize IP addresses where available).
Advertising and remarketing: where used, third-party advertising partners place cookies to deliver relevant ads only with consent; we do not sell personal data to third parties for advertising.
Opt-out controls: you can manage preferences through your browser settings, device settings, or any cookie preference center presented on the Site.
4. Sharing & Third Parties
We may share information with:
Service providers who help operate the Site (hosting providers, email delivery services, analytics providers, image/CDN hosts, form processors, and payment processors). We require these providers to protect your data and limit use to our contracted purposes.
Law enforcement, regulators, or others when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will require the receiving party to respect this Privacy Policy.
Aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual may be shared publicly or with partners.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. If applicable privacy laws require a different treatment (e.g., an opt-out for “sale”), we will provide the required notice and mechanisms.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Examples of measures we use include:
Transport security: TLS/HTTPS for data in transit.
Encryption at rest where applicable for sensitive information.
Access controls and authentication for systems that store personal data (least-privilege access for staff).
Regular security reviews, patching, and monitoring of systems.
An incident response plan to investigate and respond to data breaches; where required by law, we will notify affected users and regulators without undue delay.
While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Retention periods vary by data type. Typical policies include:
Contact form messages: retained until the matter is resolved and then for a limited period (e.g., up to 2 years) for record-keeping and dispute resolution.
Account data: retained while the account exists and for a period after account deletion to comply with legal obligations or prevent fraud (e.g., up to 2 years unless otherwise required).
Analytics and log data: retained in aggregated or pseudonymized form for analysis; raw logs may be retained for a limited period (varies by system).
6.1 Retention of Business Card Data
Business card submissions and related business information will be stored as long as the business listing remains active on our Site or until you request its removal.
Removal requests: when you request removal we will remove the listing and related files from public view within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days) and delete associated files from our active systems.
Backups and archival copies: residual copies may remain in backups or archival storage for an additional period (commonly up to 90 days) to ensure integrity and for legal or dispute purposes; afterward these copies will be deleted according to our backup retention policies.
Anonymized or aggregated business data may be retained indefinitely for analytics and service improvement.

8. Third-Party Services & Links
The Site may use third-party services (analytics, video hosting, maps, payment processors, email delivery, social networks).
